Pakistani Passport Renewal in Dubai

If you reside in Dubai, and your Pakistani passport is about to expire, then you need to pay a visit sooner to the Pakistan consulate in Dubai, in order to renew your Passport. In this article, I'll share with you, the details and procedure of Pakistani Passport renewal in Dubai. Needless to say that this is based on my personal experience :)Pakistan Consulate General, Dubai is based in Umm-Hurair locality (Bur Dubai) in Dubai. (See the consulate location here)

There is RTA (paid) parking available beside the Consulate. It's a B-Category Lot parking, so 1-hour parking will cost you 3 Dirhams.

Online Renewal

Government of Pakistan has introduced an e-Services Portal which allows us to renew our passport online at your home, without the need to visit the Consulate (the only negative part of this system is its absurd flow, which asks for the payment at the beginning of the process). You may check the portal here

IMPORTANT (BONUS) TIP
The most important and life time-saving thing you can do for yourself, is to book an appointment for yourself at the consulate before visiting (or literally get a token at the comfort of your home without going there early in the morning and without standing in the long queue). The appointment booking is a process, in which you book a token for a specific time, which allows you to come to the Consulate at your selected time, and begin your passport renewal process without the hassle of standing and waiting for the token and for your turn. Just book your appointment online, select your desired visiting time, print a copy of it and reach the consulate at your selected to start your Passport renewal process. You can book your appointment at your desired time from here -> Book your Appointment

The Process
  • First you have to pay the fees for the type of Passport you want to renew. Fees will be paid in the Bank counter window, which is there inside the consulate. You will become the part of a queue from here, which will lead you through all the desired processing windows.
  • Next is the step of taking the snap. Your picture will be clicked which will eventually become the part of your Passport.
  • Finally, on the last counter, you'll be asked to place your fingers on the scanner for your finger prints. You have to submit your documents here. You'll be given a receipt here.
  • The process is finished. The receipt, given to you contains the date, on which your new passport will be ready for collection
